Always one of the highlights of the Bristol Pride Festival we’ve worked hard to bring you a special night of laughter with amazing names making waves in the comedy circuit. A sell out night every year, we’ve moved to a bigger venue this year but expect a very busy night so be sure to book in advance!

Acts confirmed so far:

Jayde Adams – Host
Comedian, writer, dancer, actress, piano player, opera singer, beat boxer, rapper, photographer, good with computers, can draw, can cook, good at hair and make up, renaissance woman and fish monger, we’re proud to welcome back our host Jayda Adams.

As well as about 600 9th place trophies for freestyle disco dancing, Jayde has a disgusting amount of awards and accolades for comedy. WINNER: London Cabaret Audience Award 2013, 2014 Funny Women Award and The 2017 (Scottish) Sun’s Best Female Comedian and Best Show of Edinburgh Fringe plus NOMINEE: Edinburgh Comedy Award “Best Newcomer” 2016 and 2017 Chortle Best Newcomer.

Sophie Duker
Self-proclaimed “sexy-cerebral comedy underdog” she’s quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. She’s been shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award and Funny Women Awards finalist.

Starring in a comedy pilot for Channel 4 called Riot Girls, as well as a pilot for Comedy Central UK, she founded and hosts Manic Pixie Dream Girls, an international, intersectional feminist comedy show that appeared at Edinburgh Fringe in 2016 and 2017. As a comedy writer you’ll have heard her funnies on The News Quiz, The Now Show and BBC Radio 4, we’re excited to welcome such talent to Bristol Pride.

Sarah Keyworth
Originally from Nottingham, Funny Women Awards 2015 first runner up and Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Semi Finalist, Sarah Keyworth is fast-becoming a regular on the London circuit and has recently supported Stewart Francis on tour.

Her material is a mix of honest anecdotal storytelling about her Midlands upbringing, made surreal with the occasional addition of a silly observation.  She delivers sharp lines with a cheeky smile and moments of sudden deadpan that leave the audience wanting more.

Joshua Jones
Manchester’s Josh Jones is pretty new to the comedy circuit but is already easily making his mark on the scene. In 2016 he made it to the finals of the Chortle Student Comedy Awards and has been performing all over the UK for the last year. He’s sharp and witty and we are really excited to be able to bring Josh to Bristol for the Pride Comedy Night

Elfy Lyons
Elf Lyons is an award-winning red-hatted comedian and clown from London. In 2017 her solo show SWAN was nominated for the Edinburgh Fringe Best Show Award and the Malcolm Hardee Award for Comic Originality.

Named on the BBC New Talent Hotlist 2017 and in British Vogues 20 Names of Now, you can expect to see a lot more of Elfy and her new show ChiffChaff debuts at the Edinburgh Fringe later this year.

She’s just been shortlisted for Fringe World’s Best Comedy Show award and we are excited to have Elfy perform in Bristol for Pride.
