Youth Area 2023

A relaxing space for our next generation

The Pride Day Youth Area is the chance for young people to join together to celebrate Pride. A relaxed and safe space, for you to be who you are.

The area is for those aged 13-25 and is an alcohol free zone.

Come and meet friends old and new whilst enjoy a space that’s yours to escape, chill and recharge.

Activities include badge making, crafts including friendship bracelets, Identitree activities and giant games to play.

PLUS this year we are excited to create a Pride Youth group to march in the Parade. For any young people who might otherwise be on their own or want to march with others. Family members are welcome to join with you. Meet at the Band Stand in Castle Park from 10am – Look for the Pride Youth Banner!

Our thanks to our Youth Area Partner City of Bristol College

Volunteering

We are looking for volunteers to support our Youth Area at Bristol Pride. Every year we create a safe, friendly, fun and non-alcoholic space for young people and by young people. This is an opportunity for young people at pride to celebrate, make new friends and get involved in fun and engaging activities. The youth area is run by two experienced LGBTQ+ youth workers and hosts a programme of activities informed by young people themselves. This years’ activities will include craft activities, group games and some workshops for young people to get involved in.

We’d love to hear from QTIPOC young people and those with experience of social and community spaces.
