We’re proud to be different. A Pride event with the community at its heart and international headliners, without the high ticket price, which can make Pride feel like an exclusive event and inaccessible to some
We do need your help to make Pride happen though and to keep it happening. Please get a Pride Supporter Wristband if you can, in return you’ll get money-saving rewards such as free bus travel on Pride Day, money off at the bars and discounts or freebies with our food traders.
We celebrate our 10th Anniversary with friends new and old on the Main Stage at our new home on The Downs.

Shooting to fame as vocalist on Spiller’s huge number one single Groovejet and followed up with Take Me Home and worldwide smash hit, Murder on the Dancefloor. Her double-platinum debut solo album Read My Lips was released in 2001 and sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. Subsequent releases include Shoot from the Hip (2003), Trip the Light Fantastic (2007) and Make
a Scene (2011). Collaborations include dance hits Heart Break (Make Me a Dancer) with The Freemasons and Not Giving Up on Love with Armin Van Buuren. Sophie last performed with us way back in 2014 the same year she released her certified Gold songwriting debut album Wanderlust.

Two become one as pop history is made.
Spice Girl Melanie C and party makers Sink The Pink come together for a unique world-colliding live show.
A tour from Melanie C and Sink The Pink is perhaps no less than you’d expect of a Spice Girl and a nightclub-turned-movement who (in their own fierce, fearless ways) have always taken the road less trodden. A long-time ally and icon, the friendship between Melanie and Sink The Pink came to its most creative fruition last summer, when Chisolm appeared at the Sink The Pink co-founded festival, Mighty Hoopla, now they are back with something bigger, better and brasher than ever.
Melanie has achieved over 3 million album sales, two Number 1 singles and six Top 10 singles, including the iconic hits ‘I Turn To You’ and ‘Never be the Same Again’ featuring the late Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopez. In 2005 her track ‘First Day Of My Life’ was to become one of her biggest hits to date, selling over 400,000 copies in Germany alone. It also went on to chart at Number 1 in Spain, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland and Portugal where it helped to propel the album ‘Beautiful Intentions’ to double platinum status and kept it at Number 1 for 9 weeks.
With the Spice Girls enormously-anticipated UK stadium tour this year, Melanie C is also working on brand new, completely re-energised solo material, while Sink The Pink continue to tell the next chapter of alternative UK nightlife with a mission brought together under the wider manifesto of community, equality, and change.
We’re expecting something very special and cannot wait.

Celebrating our 10th Anniversary, we just had to invite the incredible talent that is Sonique back to the festival.
As our first headliner back in 2010 we’re excited to show off how far we’ve come but also to have this dance music tour de force back at Bristol Pride. DJ, vocalist and producer Sonique has been behind several incredible dance tracks including all the way back in the 80s as part of S Express.
She won Best Female at the 2001 Brits and won International Hit of the Year for It Feels So Good with a string of subsequent albums and hit singles.

In a world full of rappers claiming to be one of a kind, Le1f (born Khalif Diouf) is a real deal original, a fascinatingly complicated personality full of seeming contractions.
Having studied ballet and modern dance before becoming an incredible rapper and producer based in New York. He’s an out and proud gay MC whose style is rooted in Tunnel bangers from a less socially enlightened era of hip-hop.
Le1f became a key figure in a subset of openly gay NYC rappers, gaining exposure for their refreshing contributions to hip-hop that grew out of the early-’90s drag and ball culture.
Le1f continued to make an impression as a much-buzzed-about artist throughout 2012, giving multiple interviews and performing at the CMJ music festival. From 2012-2015, he released 3 mixtapes and 2 EPS. Riding on the success of his underground hit “Wut,” Le1f further expanded his fan base by touring Asia, Australasia, and Europe. Over a year later, in late 2015 he released his first full-length, the confident ‘Riot Boi’, which has lead to constant touring and performances of the work since it’s debut, as well as bonus tracks that finally appeared on Le1f’s ‘Blue Dream EP’ of last year.

Showgirl, songwriter, pop star, pianist, Eurovision and Dancing on Ice star. There is no one quite like Saara Aalto.
The voice of Princess Anna in the Finnish version of Disney’s Frozen, Saara exploded onto the UK pop scene when she entered X Factor blowing judges away with a breathtaking performance of Sia’s ‘Chandelier’ and has continued to blow us all away.
2018 was an incredible whirlwind year for Finland’s Saara Aalto. Following a sold out UK tour, (and Bristol Pride performance) in 2017 she went on to release her debut album in spring, represent Finland in Eurovision and support Steps on tour! She is currently wowing us with her incredible skating skills on Dancing on ice as well as releasing new music and we cannot wait to see what she has in store for us this summer.

Born and raised in Berlin, NINA cites Depeche Mode as one of her early musical influences and currently counts Kavinsky as one of her fans.
NINA’s tracks have been widely used on TV shows, adverts and games world-wide and she’s known as the “Queen of Synthwave” for her characteristic synthwave and retrowave sound and aesthetic. She’s toured as the opening act for Erasure in their US tour in 2014 and she reached #6 on the Shazam charts when her song “My Mistake” was used in a Mercedes Benz advert.
NINA has collaborated with producers like Richard X, Futurecop!, Oscillian, Sunglasses Kid and New Division to name a few.
NINA’s debut album ‘Sleepwalking’ was released on March 2018, and sold out within a week on vinyl and CD and we’re looking forward to see what NINA has in store for us this year.

Hazell established a formidable reputation as “Queen of the British Clubs” scoring a succession of massive club and dance hits which crossed successfully into the mainstream charts during the 1980’s – rare at the time.
Developing her style by performing pop and soul numbers – gaining confidence after hearing her voice recorded and well produced. She eventually started veering towards dance music, marking a new stage in her career.
Her 1984 release of the electrifying recording of “Searchin” (I Gotta Find A Man) sailed in at number 6 and remained in charts for an incredible 15 weeks. It was also the year she made her gay club debut at “Heaven” in London – and things were never to be the same again. A string of hits followed including What Ever I Do, They Say It’s Gonna Rain, Who’s Leaving Who, Turn It Into Love and Love Pains
Hazell cracked America with Searchin’ topping the Dance Charts for consecutive 5 weeks, Love Pains was voted best HI NRG remix ’89 and Better Off Without You best commercial 12″ single 1991. She’s been an advocate for the LGBT+ community and has been performing at Pride events for over 35 years…. so it was about time to have this HI NRG legend performing at Bristol Pride.

The legends that are Boney M needs no introduction. The 1970s saw the birth of Disco born in New York’s Studio 54 where the sound system pumped out the steady beat of sizzling dance mixes and the atmosphere was carefree and electric.
One of the biggest groups to stand out and make their mark was BONEY M. Every Dancefloor and TV show were playing the music of this fabulous foursome from the Caribbean.
A mix of reggae, disco, funk, gospel, soul and rock their sound has become as iconic as original singer, Mazie Willaims’ vocals. We’re excited to have such an incredible act kick start a power afternoon of acts. Be sure to get to the festival early this year.

Born and raised in Utah, Justin Utley began his career as a Mormon-Contemporary singer/songwriter, and was a featured performer at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
After publicly breaking ties with his Mormon faith, Justin moved to New York City in 2005 where he became a sought after talent and outspoken personality against the use of conversion (ex-gay) therapy, a method Utley endured for two years after serving a two-year full-time mission for his church.
In June 2010, Utley released Stand for Something; a single written to inspire and motivate to take action towards securing LGBT marriage equality in the United States. The single was nominated by the LGBT Academy Of Recording Arts for 4 OutMusic Awards, including Best Songwriter and Artist of the Year, winning Best Country/Folk Song of the Year.
Four times OUTMusic nominee and winner of the Best Folk/Country Song of The Year and two-time recipient of the FBI’s “Inspiring Citizen of the Year” award during the FBI’s Annual Diversity Week in New Jersey.

They headlined Utah Pride festival in 2018 and performed live on ABC TV as well as being featured as the keynote speaker for Mental Health of America.
