The 80s chart topper will be performing in our Afternoon Legend slot on Saturday 12th July
We are very excited to announced Kim Wilde as our first headliner for Pride Day 2025. Taking the Afternoon Legend slot on Main Pride Day, the British pop sensation will keep crowds “Hangin’ On” for an unmissable performance on The Downs.
Winner of Best British Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards, Kim Wilde has sold over 10 million albums and 20 million singles worldwide, making her the most-charted British female solo act of the 80s. Her infectious pop vocals combined with nostalgic 80s lyrics promise to have audiences dancing the day away this July.
Maintaining her reputation as a formidable live performer, she joins the Bristol Pride line-up as part of her European ‘Closer Tour’ with her band, and will perform a string of iconic hits including You Came, You Keep Me Hangin’ On, Never Trust a Stranger, Chequered Love and of course, Kids In America which has over 221 million streams on Spotify.
Taking place on Saturday 12th July, this year’s festival is already shaping up to be our largest ever line up, we’re keeping the main festival headline under wraps for now but acts already announced for this year’s event include europop and dance legends Cascada, and 90s anthem provider Ultra Naté. Over on the Cabaret stage RuPaul Drag Race USA favourite and RPDR Canada Judge Brooke Lynn Hytes headlines the stage, along with over 30 acts from across the UK and Bristol.
Daryn Carter MBE, Pride Director, said: “We are absolutely over the moon to announce Kim Wilde performing at this year’s festival. Kim is a true icon, shaping the British music scene and is the one of the most successful UK female artists. I can think of nobody more deserving to be our Afternoon Legend and It’s an honour to have her performing with us, I know this will be a very special performance as we present our biggest ever lineup for the festival.”
