Australian icon Natalie Imbruglia will perform at this year’s Afternoon Legends Slot
Aussie Sensation, Natalie Imbruglia will be taking to the Mainstage for our first ever ‘Afternoon Legends’ slot. The singer and actress famous for her iconic track ‘Shiver’ and international anthem, ‘Torn’ joins this year’s lineup for the Pride Day on The Downs, Saturday 8th July.
One of Australia’s most loved pop artists, Natalie’s chart-topping smash hit ‘Torn’ boasts over 500 million Spotify streams. She’s released six studio albums, and in 2021 she made a triumphant return with her critically acclaimed, Top 10 album, ‘Firebird’. She’s won 8 Aria’s, 2 Brit Awards, a Billboard Music Award and received three Grammy Nominations. Most recently winning the third season of The Masked Singer, UK.
We’re also ready to announce the next wave of acts for the Main Stage, ontop of Scissor Sisters front man Jake Shears headlining the festival we welcome 5Star lead singer Denise Pearson, live dance band Rhythm of the 90s, the incredible Dolly Parton Experience, uplifting local choir Sing Out Bristol, and art-pop performer Newtion. Other acts already announced include Girls Aloud Star Nadine Coyle, 90s dance sensation Alison Limerick, ‘Hypnotized’ singer Sophie and the Giants and Brit award nominee Ladyhawke and over 30 performers for the Cabaret stage including Rupaul’s Drag Race Winner, Ra’jah O’Hara, Drag Race UK fan favourite Tia Kofi and a special guest appearance from The Traitors UK star Amanda.
Winning ‘Best Event’ in this year’s Bristol Pride Life Awards, Pride Day also hosts a bustling Community Area, home to over 60 community, social and support groups, dedicated Youth and Family areas and 5 performance stages including circus, local dance groups and a showcase of new and emerging talent..
Pride Day begins with the Parade March across the city, which saw 20,000 people take part in 2022, and is the chance for the community to come together in joyful celebration of identity but also to march for visibility and make a stand against hate and prejudice.
Bristol Pride Day remains a donation entry festival, ensuring that it remains financially accessible for everyone who wants to attend Pride, however, we are asking all those that can afford to, to pick up a Supporter Wristbands for this year’s event. Starting at just £7 they offer great rewards including free bus travel on Pride Day with First Bus and free access to Pride’s dedicated shuttle service to The Downs and discounted food and bar at the festival.
A £20 Day+Night pass is also available and includes entry to The Official Afterparty at the Bristol O2 Academy, featuring 3 rooms of DJs and headlined The Shapeshifters.
