Through quarterly meet-ups, roundtables and networking events with the support of BFI South West, we want to achieve greater visibility of local queer people within the filmmaking industry and we invite you to join us.
We wish to build a network that advocates queer talent in the South West region*, to achieve this we are creating a peer network to offer each other support, to connect and to signpost to current and future opportunities. We want to extend this invitation to aspiring and emerging; writers, directors, producers and all other roles within the industry. We welcome those who may be just starting their film career and those who are more seasoned that can share their knowledge and experience with others.
Our aims are to showcase the content that has been created or produced by South West LGBTQI+ talent and to strengthen the links between Queer Vision Film Festival, our call-outs for short films to show at the festival taking place in July as part of Bristol Pride Festival and as a South West gateway partner to the Iris Prize.
