Ana Matronic is an artist, musician, author, DJ, radio & television presenter and public speaker best known as the lone female member of pop phenomenon Scissor Sisters. Equally at home stalking atop a dirty, dingy bar as she is inciting record-breaking Hyde Park crowds to roar with delight, Matronic has honed her reputation as a formidable on stage presence and sharp-witted emcee since cutting her teeth at San Franciscoʼs legendary drag night Trannyshack in the late 90s.
New Yearʼs Eve 2014 saw Matronicʼs debut as a broadcaster with her first show for BBC Radio 2. This spiraled into a 17-part specialist series on rare groove disco and in 2017, her own weekly show called Dance Devotion which airs every Saturday night from midnight - 2am.

Curating Room 2 upstairs Dirty Pop is Cardiff’s longest-running Saturday night party. Established and run by DJs Ian Cottrell and Esyllt Williams, this weekly night held at Clwb Ifor Bach combines electronic pop and disco dancing to a mixed crowd who’ve helped it become legendary, award-winning and unmissable since 2008.
