Bristol Pride is looking to recruit a Grants and Partnerships Fundraising Manager. In this role you will play a lead role in maintaining and growing Bristol Pride’s income, with a primary focus on grant fundraising and the development of corporate partnerships. Working closely with the directors and Trustees the post holder will strengthen existing income streams, identify new opportunities through corporate sponsorship, grant applications, and donation drives as well as supporting the overall development of Bristol Pride’s fundraising strategy. This role is central to ensuring the sustainability and growth of Bristol Pride for the LGBTQ+ community in Bristol.
Bristol Pride is one of the UK’s largest and most-visited Pride events, an unapologetically bold celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, protest, joy and solidarity. With a 2-week festival programme culminating in a 20,000+ capacity Pride Day and community march, we’re a beacon of inclusion, advocacy and creativity in the South West.
We are a small but mighty team, delivering a high-impact programme with national profile and local love. Now, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Fundraising manager to help us improve our income generation through grants, philanthropy and sponsorship to help ensure Pride is sustainable, visible and valued all year round – not just during the festival period.
Grant Applications
● Research, develop and maintain a strong pipeline of grant opportunities across trusts, foundations, Lottery, corporate CSR programmes, and statutory funders.
● Write, coordinate and submit high-quality grant applications and expressions of interest.
● Manage grant reporting, monitoring and compliance, working with key team members to ensure necessary data collection, evidencing and spend tracking.
Sponsorship & Partnerships
● Working with the Directors on Strategy, developing and creating compelling opportunities that align with festival values, goals and sponsorship policies.
● As well as working with existing partners you will identify and engage new potential corporate partners, including through local and national business networks.
● Confirming partnerships from small brands to headline partners & brand activations, negotiating contracts and benefits and ensuring sponsor agreements are met.
● Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with partners acting as their main point of contact.
● Working with site and operations teams to activate partner presence (Expo stands, signage, experiences) and ensure agreed benefits are met.
● Work with the directors and trustees to build relationships with community groups (e.g. local LGBTQ+ venues and sports clubs) to secure fundraising support, fundraising drives and events (e.g The Bristol 10k) and being selected as chosen charity partner or charity of the year.
● Proven experience in securing funding through grants, trusts, foundations or statutory funders.
● Experience of developing and delivering successful fundraising activities.
● Demonstrated success of building and maintaining productive relationships with funders, donors or partners.
● Good understanding of the current grant funding landscape and / or corporate funding environment
● Excellent relationship management, interpersonal, and communication skills
● Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive funding applications
● Excellent attention to detail
● Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage deadlines and key milestones
● Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
● Ability to confidently articulate a case for support
● Competent user of IT systems including experience using Google Drive
● Understanding of the barriers faced by LGBTQ+ community and passionate in wanting to make a difference and impact positive change.
● This is could be a PAYE or Freelance position starting January 2026 at 2 days per week (flexible working supported)
● £27,000 – £32,000 Pro Rata
● Hybrid / Remote working is offered, we have a Bristol Office if you wish to use it
