Bristol Pride wins ‘Best Event’ at Bristol Life Awards 2025

All of the Bristol Pride team are proud to have won ‘Best Event’ at the 2025 Bristol Life awards. The prestigious award win reflected “A landmark year! 47,000 attendees, expanded programming, and a record-breaking Pride Parade, promoting inclusivity, community, and support for the LGBT+ population.”

The exciting award success follows Bristol Pride previously winning Best Event Award 2020, 2022, and 2023 at the Bristol Life Awards as well as winning Best Non Music festival in the UK Festival awards in 2024.

Last year we delivered an incredible programme with 47 events across 21 different venues in the city as well as the Pride Day festival on The Downs. As an event city we know how special this award is, and we are proud to now be one of the biggest festivals that take place in the city, bringing in over 3.3 Million to the local economy as well as putting Bristol on the map as one of the largest Pride events in the UK with with national and global recognition.

Pride Director, Daryn Carter explained:

We’re all incredibly pleased to win Best Event at the Bristol Life Awards. Being recognised in our field is such a great gift to receive. We are really proud of our two-week festival and what we created with Pride, putting on ground breaking theatre, film, performances and of course international headline artists to showcase and celebrate our community. As well as recognising what we do as an event this award also goes to all the performers, public and incredible volunteers that make Pride such a special event.

Alongside this fantastic accolade, Bristol Pride were also nominated for other categories including ‘Civic & Community’ and ‘Leisure & Tourism’.

We’re already busy working on this years festival, with the main event continuing to take place on The Downs and taking place on Saturday 12 July with over 200 artists expected to perform across 5 stages at the festival. 2025 Wristbands are available now.
