Trans Rights are Human Rights – Now more then ever the Trans community need our support while facing a rise in Transphobia and restrictions.
In the UK, and worldwide, trans rights continue to be under attack. We know, as a community, that these attacks are led by ignorance and hate, with trans people being used as scapegoats and targets to prevent real issues being focused on. But the effect these attacks have on our trans siblings is cruel and must be pushed back against by everyone.
In 2025 the UK has dropped 6 places, to twenty second place, in the International Lesbian & Gay Association’s rainbow map of Europe, showing which countries have the best protections for the LGBTQ+ community. This drop was largely led by the rise in discrimination being accepted into law and government against trans people’s right to exist freely and openly in their identities.
At Pride, we’ve compiled a list of resources for Trans individuals and allies. Our goal is to ensure that our community feels safe, supported, and never alone. As Trans+ people continue to face increasing challenges, providing accessible resources and safe spaces has become more crucial than ever.

We believe that Trans People have the right to be treated equally. This includes:
The right to exist
The right to live freely without fear
The right to be treated with dignity & respect
The right to enjoy the security of UK legislation
The right to speak and be heard
We also ask for people to acknowledge the basic human rights mantra that trans women are women, trans men are men, and non-binary identities are valid.
