LGBT+ Arts Trail For Bristol

An LGBT+ Arts Trail has been launched in Bristol for July

LGBT+ artists from around Bristol have been brought together to present their art for you to view and enjoy around central Bristol.

7 Artists and venues have come together to showcase LGBTQ+ artists in displaying photos, illustrations, prints and mosaics as part of the first-ever Bristol LGBT+ Art Trail.

All the artwork is accessible from outside venues, you don’t have to walk into any of the venues in order to see artwork and there is a variety of places to go and see some amazing art whilst getting some fresh air. Please ensure you follow all the latest government guidance on social distancing and be mindful of others around you.

Keir Gravil the event organiser said

Given that life has been put on pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, the LGBTQ+ Art Trail was borne from a desire to do something to help keep Pride going through July whilst the virtual festival is postponed until September. Bristol Pride is an important date for the calendar, and LGBTQ+ people from Bristol and from around the country come to celebrate.

We have such a variety of artwork from photos to mosaics and amazing support from venues. It’s been a great effort from everyone and I hope people enjoy the art trail as much as I’ve enjoyed organising it.

Each venue and exhibit has been associated with an LGBT+ charity in order to raise awareness and donations for groups doing amazing work within the community. People can make a donation if they want to by simply scanning the QR code on the exhibit card with each artwork.

It is hoped that the Arts Trail will develop year on year as part of the annual Pride festival.
