Joining us for this years Afternoon Legends slot is the incredible Jason Donovan.
From TV, music, film and theatre join us for a spectacular celebration of his remarkable multi award winning and multi platinum career with what promises to be an energetic and unique live performance on the main stage with his live band.
Becoming a household name as the TV Heartthrob Scott Robinson in ‘Neighbours’ led to his huge success with acclaimed producers, Stock, Aitken and Waterman releasing his debut album ‘Ten Good Reasons’ in 1989 which become the biggest selling album of the year selling over 13 million copies and 4 UK No.1 singles.
With an armful of awards for his acting and a growing pile of platinum-selling records, 1990 proved to be as much of a career whirlwind as Jason released his second album, “Between The Lines,” and continued to dominate the UK charts with singles like ‘Hang On To Your Love’, ‘Another Night’,‘Rhythm Of The Rain‘, and ‘I’m Doin’ Fine’.
Music was always a constant in Jason’s life, as was his passion for acting and theatre. This combination became a natural transition for what was to become one of his definitive roles – Olivier-nominated portrayal of Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ at London’s Palladium. This sell out 18-month run in 1991 produced a number one single and best-selling soundtrack album, and is still known for being one of the most successful revivals of all time.
Jason Donovan, has delighted audiences worldwide with his versatility as an actor, singer and all round entertainer. He has amassed a rich catalogue of hits and unforgettable tunes including from stage shows such as ‘Joseph’, ‘Priscilla’, ‘Rocky Horror’ and ‘Grease’ and of course his biggest pop hits like ‘Especially For You’, ‘Too Many Broken Hearts’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Sealed with a Kiss’ to name just a few.
Jason is an absolute legend and we cannot wait for this truly special performance just for Pride.

House music legends bring their high-energy dance anthems to Bristol Pride 2026! The leading exponents of a wave of Italian house music that flourished on the dance floors of the late 80s and early 90s, Black Box comprised three Italian studio musicians (Daniele Davoli, Mirko Limoni and Valerio Semplici), collectively known as Groove Groove Melody and established as one of the top production outfits in Italian dance music, releasing more than a dozen singles a year in their native country.
Among these was the anthemic Ride of Time which became a massive hit is the UK, staying at number 1 for six weeks in 1989 and earning the status of the bestselling record of that year. As Black Box, they released the album “Dreamland” in 1990 which broke the US & UK charts and across the world, and featured multi platinum award winning hit singles ‘Ride on Time’, ‘I Don’t Know Anybody Else’, ‘Everybody Everybody’, ‘Strike It Up’, and ‘Fantasy’, a revamp of the Earth, Wind and Fire hit.

Chloe Qisha is a singer, songwriter and self-taught multi-instrumentalist who makes alternative pop. Performing her first live show in October 2024, Chloe has quickly gained momentum. With each melodic, 80s-inspired release and accompanying video, her audience has grown rapidly with debut EP released to rapturous critical acclaim, earned her “One to Watch” accolades from Spotify, BBC Radio 1, Vogue, Elle, and Clash. More recently, she has graced the covers of Rolling Stone UK and NME. On the live circuit, Chloe’s rise has been just as swift, selling out her debut show in just four minutes before headlining the Festival Republic Stage at Leeds Festival and staging her own show at Village Underground. She’s named as 2026 Amazon Music’s ‘One to Watch’, shortlisted for Radio 1’s Sound of 2026.
Born in Malaysia but educated mostly in Britain, Chloe is well travelled, considered and sophisticated but under the chic exterior there is a provocative and restless soul. That dichotomy is reflected in Chloe’s music which is perfect pop but with a dark, playful underbelly. With influences ranging from Troye Sivan & Chappell Roan to Christine And The Queens & Olivia Rodrigo, Chloe is certainly aiming for a big audience but, with her modest elegance & deadpan humor, she is the antithesis of a mass market star.
Most of all it is her songwriting that sets Chloe apart. Having studied psychology at Undergraduate level and communications at Masters level perhaps it is no surprise that Chloe is able to unpick the human condition but the wisdom and dexterity with which she analyses interpersonal relationships is rare in pop music today. It is no exaggeration to say she is one of the most intelligent pop songwriters to have appeared in many years.
Her recent singles, including ’21st Century Cool Girl’ and ‘Modern Romance’ highlight her versatility and knack for crafting infectious pop songs with substance. As she continues to evolve, Chloe Qisha is undoubtedly one to watch out for and we’re really excited to have her perform at Bristol Pride this year.
