Our Pride Gate Champions are the first people that attendees see and welcome everyone to Bristol Pride festival. One of the main ways we raise money for Bristol Pride is through selling wristbands that give people discounts across the site and on travel. You will scan or sell Pride Day wristbands and encourage people to donate. You will also ensure that they get into the arena safely.
This is a busy role and we anticipate people arriving straight after the parade. This role is great for those who enjoy working with people and want to really feel the excitement of Pride. If you’re looking to build your confidence in working with people, this is a great role for you.
Pride Gate Supervisors
We’re strengthening our team this year and are looking for volunteers who have experience of supporting gates either at Bristol Pride or elsewhere. If you think you can help, contact volunteer@bristolpride.co.uk

Pride is a protest! We use our political voice to amplify, maintain and further LGBT+ human rights in Bristol and beyond. We welcome everyone who wants to celebrate, champion and progress LGBT+ and human rights to join us. Bristol Pride Parade relies on volunteers to ensure the successful running of the parade and to ensure the safety of those who attend. We are expanding and strengthening our team this year and therefore our volunteer roles look slightly different than in previous years.
Parade Static Stewards
This is a great role if you want to see the whole parade. You’ll be working with our traffic management team on our road closures and ensuring that people are able to enjoy the parade safely. This is a key role, and you’ll be buddied up to support each point along the parade. We’ll be providing a full brief in advance to make sure you know where you’ll be and what you’ll be doing.
Parade Walking Stewards
This is a fun and engaging role that means you can still take part in the parade whilst helping to keep it moving. You will be placed in amongst the parade, walking with it ensuring that everyone keeps to the right side of the road and that the parade keeps moving swiftly. If you have a keen eye for safety and want to be involved in the parade, this role is for you.
Parade Supervisors
We are looking for 8 volunteers who can support our parade coordination team to keep the parade together and moving. You’ll be working as a team to flag any gaps and issues, and ensuring people leave Castle Park in a timely way. You’ll need to be confident and have good communication skills for this role. Ideally, you’ll have volunteered with the parade before and would like to get more involved, please get in touch.

We are looking for volunteers to support our Youth Area at Bristol Pride. Every year we create a safe, friendly, fun and non-alcoholic space for young people and by young people. The youth area is run by two experienced LGBTQ+ youth workers and hosts a programme of activities informed by young people themselves. This years’ activities will include craft activities, group games and some workshops for young people to get involved in.
We’d love to hear from QTIBPOC young people and those with experience of social and community spaces.

Our Access Champions are here to support disabled people to fully enjoy Bristol Pride. They do this by supporting a number of functions across the site such as overseeing our viewing platforms and helping to keep our access routes clear, welcoming people and wristbanding on our accessible gate and being positioned around the site as a point of contact for anyone who might have questions or need support.
You will be part of a team of people providing support to those who need it and will be supported by our Coordinator who is responsible for accessibility on site. Ahead of Pride Day, you will be invited to a briefing and we will organise who will be positioned where and at what time.

Before the event, you will be invited to the volunteer induction session. You will have the option of joining this in person or online. At the session we will go through what will happen on the day, your role and prepare you for what will happen. We will also run through what you’ll do at the start of your shift.
