Pride 2018: 29 June-15 July | Pride Day: Sat 14 July

Pride Day Area Coordinators

24/01/2016

We’re looking to recruit 4 experienced volunteer Area Coordinators for Pride Day.

Area Coordinators will be responsible for helping keep designated areas of the festival running smoothly. We are specifically looking for coordinators for our:
Family Area (Ideally CRB checked)
Community Tent
Market and Food Traders
Accessibility (including designated viewing areas)
Dance & Performance Village

We’re looking for people with experience of event management or perhaps your studying Business and Events Management.

Tasks on the day will include helping set up in the morning of the event and coordinating any area sponsors or stall holders within your area. If needed you will also help recruit or simply coordinate volunteer staff for your area and be the point of contact for the Pride Team on the day.
You’ll need strong communication skills and the ability to think quickly to resolve any problems that might arise on the day. You’ll know that the day is about having fun, ensuring the safety of other festival goers and maintaining standards for both Pride and any sponsors.

This role will involve some pre planning meetings in the lead up to Pride and you must be available on the day of Pride itself. These roles are vitally important to the smooth running of the festival and you’ll be helping to ensure the day goes without a hitch and is a safe and fun environment for all.

Experience of events management and coordination would be preferable but we’re looking for someone who is passionate about Pride, doing a good job and perhaps wants more experience in the field.

You will have the full support of the Pride Team on the day and we hope to make this a fun and engaging opportunity for you.

To apply please send a covering letter explaining which role you would like to apply for, why you would like the role, any relevant experience and a CV to info@bristolpride.co.uk
