Bristol Pride is run by volunteers and we need your help to make Pride happen!
It’s rewarding, exciting and important! Help make a fantastic Pride event for the community and get those warm fuzzy feelings because Pride could not happen without your support. We’ve worked really hard to build a pride event we can all be proud of and we want to keep Pride a free event for everyone to attend (not just those who can afford it) but this means we need your help. We’ve got several roles, listed above but we specifically need:
Parade Stewards: Walk alongside the Parade but ensure everyone keeps to the right side of the road and that the parade keeps moving. We also need at least 10 people who can wait at specific road junctions to keep the crowd going.
Pride Day Champions: Help us collect those vital donations that keep Pride going and swap those etickets for wristbands. Everyone who volunteers gets a limited edition Pride Lanyard and anyone who does more than one shift gets a free Pride Day Wristband.
Decor: We need some help setting up tables and chairs, getting green rooms ready, hanging bunting and generally helping make sure the site is ready on time!
Access Champions: Help make sure Pride is welcoming and inclusive to everyone. We need people with basic conversation BSL skills to help answer questions, people to steward our accessibility viewing areas or just to be about the festival to help anyone who might have a question
Community Area Champions: Be on hand to help show stall holders to their location or answer any questions that they might have. Tasks might include signposting the public to a certain stall or liaising with the area manager if there are any issues. Morning shifts will be more involved in set up and direction. Public arrive from 12om
