The whole of Bristol Pride is run by volunteers and we need your help to make Pride happen!
It’s rewarding, exciting and important! Help make a fantastic Pride event for the community and get those warm fuzzy feelings knowing you made it happen.
Pride cannot happen without more support, we’ve worked really hard to build a pride event we can all be proud of and we want to keep Pride a free event for everyone to attend (not just those who can afford it) so we can ensure we reach those who need Pride the most and engage with wider communities but this means we rely on people to donate and we need a more people collecting donations. We specifically need people to help:
Steward The Parade: The Parade attracted 5000 people in 2015 and we rely on volunteer stewards to help keep the parade flowing, look after our giant rainbow flag and for those who are feeling more confident, to assist with traffic management.
Gate Stewards: Help us collect those vital donations that keep Pride going and help swap those tickets for wristbands. Everyone who does a shift (2 hours) gets a free Pride Day Wristband. If we can sign up 100 volunteers it means everyone only has to do one 2 hour shift and everyone can enjoy Pride Day.
Runners: We need some help to set up tables and chairs, getting our green rooms ready and just generally helping make sure we have Pride Day ready on time! We need people from 830am – 10am for tables and chairs (so still time to go join the parade) or shifts through the day.
