Queer Vision Film Festival is back and we want your films!
Curated by Bristol Pride, Queer Vision presents a diverse programme of LGBT+ films from around the globe, including independently-made features, animation and award-winning short films. Our focus is on widening engagement, increasing audience viewing and screening opportunities of and for LGBT+ content films and filmmakers.
Queer Vision Film Festival will run during Bristol Pride Festival from 25 June – 10 July 2022
We’re looking for films made by SW filmmakers to be shown at Queer Vision Film Festival 2022.
All short film (39 mins or less) entries should be by, for, about or of significant interest to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, non-binary or intersex audiences, and must have been completed within 5 years prior to the submission deadline, that is they must have been completed since 2016.
To be eligible to make our shortlist of films to be screened you should be permanently based in one of these South West counties: Bath & NE Somerset, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Isles of Scilly, Isle of Wight, North Somerset, Plymouth, Poole, Portsmouth, Southampton, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Torbay or Wiltshire.

Queer Vision in Bristol is a nominating partner of the Iris Prize Best British Short, and we are looking for an LGBT+ short film to nominate from our region.

Iris Prize Best British Short supported by Film4
The winner will receive an exclusive screening of their film in the deluxe John Barry Theatre at Pinewood Studios complete with a red carpet and a welcome reception with drinks and canapes sponsored by Pinewood Studios Group.
They will also be invited to be part of the 2023 Iris Prize Best British Jury. All films in the Best British 2022 shortlist will be broadcast on Film4 and streamed on their online streaming service, All4.
A licence fee will be paid to all shortlisted Best British filmmakers.
