We are seeking a talented and motivated Marketing and Admin Assistant to join our team. You will support the Marketing Manager in promoting our events and activities via social media and our website. Engaging with our audiences via our social media platforms and collating media collateral both in the run up and during the festival. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, including those traditionally underrepresented in the Festival industry.
In the planning / Office Based

Working alongside the Marketing Manager to update the Bristol Pride website, uploading photos and updating content. Supporting content creation and copywriting for social media platforms.

Assisting with printed programme copy collection and proofreading.

Drafting and scheduling social media content

Drafting and posting website copy and images

Drafting content for the monthly newsletter

Grouping festival photography for carousels and albums

Collecting trader data on where they came from and the type of vehicle for sustainability reporting

Assisting with live event delivery as needed – setting up events, managing arrivals etc

Assisting with festival administration as required
During the Festival / Onsite (likely to be longer days)

Based in the Festival Hub assisting with customer queries

Monitoring social media channels and replying to comments and questions

Capturing content for socials

General assistance where needed

Travel to and from Site – Transport and logistics will be discussed prior to the commencement of the placement and planning support will be provided if required. The Bristol Pride festival site is accessible by public transport.
Onsite Accommodation – n/a – you will not be required to stay on site overnight. For extra optional work at other shows that do require overnight stays, you would be expected to camp in the crew area with access to backstage toilets and showers. Camping Kit can be loaned for use if required.
Meals Onsite – meals provided whilst on shift at festival sites.
Physical Description of Work – This role is a mixture of office based, and on site work at our events, with desk work, and some physically active work, involving some moving and lifting, required in both settings. Our event takes place on a greenfield site and the role requires someone to move around independently and extensively.

4 Month fixed term PAYE contract, 2 days per week (Tuesday & Wednesday preferable) Starting early April and finishing Mid August.

Festival dates 29 June – 13th July – additional days to be agreed will be required during this period and we do not approve holiday requests during this time.
(Plus potential extra onsite work offered for w/c 23rd June 2025 – these dates are yet to be confirmed and this extra work will be subject to the successful candidate’s availability.)

£12.60 per hour – 7.5 hour day

Flexible working policy – with some weekend and evening work required around the festival – any overtime can be taken as time off in lieu (TOIL). Onsite at events, we aim for days of between 8 and 10 hours, however, due to the nature of live events, this is always subject to change and there may be occasions when you are needed to stay on a bit longer to get a job done or on the other hand, get to leave a bit earlier if everything is finished for the day.
