It costs us as a Charity approximately £715k to put on Bristol Pride. Here’s how that’s broken down:

Organising a Parade March with 27k attendees is no easy feat – it takes a great deal of admin and planning to make it a safe success each year. Approximately, it costs us £21.6k to put on the Bristol Pride Parade March.

A lot of people aren’t aware that we operate as a small charity team, rather than a section of the Council or a larger Pride body, making your support incredibly vital to us. Our total income is made up of a variety of revenue streams:
• Donation – 8.8%
• Funding – 6.3%
• Bar Sales – 18.3%
• Festival Sponsors & Partners – 17.4%
• Pitch Fees – 12.7%
• Merch Sales – 0.6%
• Pride allows our community to be visible, proud, and empowered
• The Bristol Pride Community Fund has supported 72 LGBT+ projects and events to date
• Bristol Pride is a platform to celebrate and promote diversity, equality, inclusion, and belonging
• Our 2 weeks of 60+ events includes music, theatre, sport, comedy, workshops, talks, and more; providing work for local performers, venues, and freelancers
• Our Community Area delivers face-to-face education, advice, and support
• Our Parade March is open and free for members of the public to participate in
• We’re the only Pride of our size to offer donation entry in the UK
• Bristol Pride is statistically proven to help people feel more resilient, less isolated, and build connections

• Fundraise! We’ve had people organise bake sales, events, online streaming, and even run marathons for us. Anything you can do to raise funds is fantastic
