- About Us
We have been working to make our online events as accessible as possible. Some of the events have not been created by us and have not been sent with closed captions however we have worked to ensure these have been put in place if we have been able to.
We have also worked to BSL interpret performances, and all of Pride Day will have BSL interpreted performances and hosting and guest messages will have closed captions.
All events will be streamed on YouTube and Facebook to allow for the use of auto-generated caption software when streaming online, you may need to activate this or, in some cases, turn it off is performances have had captions embedded. We have listed the events that will have embedded closed captions and that are BSL interpreted.
You can read how to turn on Facebook captions here
There will be no strobe lighting in any events or performances during the festival. There is one performance on Pride Day, at c530pm that contains flashing images. A warning will be displayed.

We had many plans for access implementation for 2020 including increasing the size and number of viewing platforms, ground matting to increase wheelchair accessibility and increasing our onsite Access support network.
Obviosuly due to Covid-19 a physical festival has not been able to take place but we are continuing to work to improving access at Pride and planning for Pride 2021. This includes working with organisations such as Attitude is Everything.
We had not planned for delivering an online festival, we’ve had to do so at short notice but are we are keen to hear from the community about how to make online event more accessible.
We would like to hear feedback from you and are actively looking for people to join an accessibility working group or contact list to gather this and help shape future events. Email us at email@example.com for more details.
