LGBT Liaison Officers (LAGLOs) are a mix of police officers and police staff members who have special understanding and training on LGBT issues. Their role includes enhancing the relationship between the police and LGBT people in an effort to boost people’s trust and confidence.
Working in partnership with Bristol City Council to empower lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to become actively involved in community life. As well as challenging homophobia and transphobia in the wider community they also manage the LGBT Hate Crime Service.
