The University of the West of England in Bristol is a core partner and sponsors Bristol Pride. OutUWE is the universities LGBT Society.
A place where members can come and meet other LGBT students in a safe and welcoming environment. OutUWE is open to anyone who wants to join and holds regular weekly coffee meetings & other activities such as nights out, daytime events and trips outside of Bristol joining LGBT networks from other universities in their events.
They also offer help, support and advice to members with regular talks from people in the Bristol community, their aim is to bring enjoyment along with safety to our members during their time at the university.
Representing lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and other gender and sexual minority communities at the University of Bristol.
The society is affiliated with the University of Bristol Union (UBU) and provide safe spaces for members to socialise, network, get support and advice. They offer regular events including bar crawls, club nights, coffee afternoons, and trips to cities outside of Bristol
As well as events they also offer welfare support and advice for LGBT+ students through a special Welfare Rep, handbook/website and help new members integrate into the LGBT+ community through a Parenting Scheme.
Bath Spa LGBTQ Society
Bath Spa also supports and sponsors Bristol Pride. Their LGBTQ Society is an all inclusive group for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans student at bath spa university. They also welcome lgbt youths in the surrounding area and organise social events, and meet on a regular basis.
Support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans students at the University of Bath. Officially part of the Students’ Union (Bath SU) they represent L, G, B & T students in both the Union and at the University.
Supporting and representing the views of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, and questioning students at the university. They hold regular lunches, film nights, nights out, and much more where members can socialise and enjoy themselves in a comfortable atmosphere. They also are the direct voice of LGBTQ students to the Equality & Diversity Committee of the Guild so join in if you want to help campaign on liberation matters.
