2024: 29 June - 14 July

Pride Day: Sat 13 July

Parade March

The Parade March is our chance to show how diverse and proud Bristol is as a city.

Our 2024 march takes place on Pride Day Saturday 13 July ahead of the Main Festival on The Downs.

Taking part

Pride is a protest!  We use our political voice to amplify, maintain and further LGBT+ human rights in Bristol and beyond. It is a bold statement for equality, diversity and inclusion, to celebrate our community and to show that hatred and prejudice have no place in our city, or anywhere.  We encourage community groups, charities, public sector organisations and businesses who actively support LGBT+ human rights to join us.

We do not charge or restrict members of the public to join the parade. We welcome everyone who wants to celebrate, champion and progress LGBT+ human rights to join us. We do ask larger groups coming together, even if you are a social group to register, for free, just to help us coordinate with you and manage numbers.

We also welcome businesses, companies and large organisations/charities who actively empower communities, and LGBT+ people and promote human rights to take part in the parade to make a visible statement of their commitment. You will need to register your organisation to take part.

We will not accept applications from fossil fuel companies, airlines and those involved in defense, arms/weapons manufacturing or animal testing.

Registration

We ask all large groups, charities and businesses to register with us to help with our planning and delivery. Individuals or a group of friends marching do not need to register.

We operate a tiered pricing system for varying sized organisations and charities to help enable smaller organisations to be able to join us. We require you to pay in advance of the day to ensure your booking. Branded banners and branded t-shirts for participants are allowed for registered organisations, but please ensure you discuss any giveaways with us in advance. As part of our ongoing commitment to the environment, please do not flyer/leaflet in the parade. Sweets, stickers or useable items for the public are allowed.

See our Festival Partners page if you are interested in partnering with Pride for additional engagement including expo space at the festival and advertising in our festival guide.

Our 2023 Route

2024 route info coming soon.

Our 2023 route info

Pease note that Bristol Pride is a walking parade. We do not allow vehicles or floats in the parade due to the nature of our route, health and safety and to support reduced city centre emissions.  We do not have a corporate only block in the parade, everyone joins in together to celebrate as a whole community.

The route is 2 miles long and will take about 1 hour to complete. We have tried to reduce the amount of hills we take (not easy in Bristol) though there is a hill incline on Union Street so some may wish to join the parade at the other end of Castle Park, by Wine Street.

Water is not provided on the route however there is a refill fountain on Millennium Square at the end of the parade and many outlets in Bristol participate in the Refill scheme if you have an empty bottle you can fill up with.
